Reciprocating Seals

Valve Stem Seals are responsible for regulating the proper amount of oil flow to the valve stem for sufficient lubrication. As a result, valve train durability is maximized and stem wear is reduced.
This seal can be either simple or complex. The former is usually used in shock absorbers filled with oil. The latter has two main lip design, reciprocating actuator to maintain internal pressure, which produces a spring-like effect.
It is designed to prevent the hydraulic fluid from leakage to ensure smooth and normal operation of the hydraulic power steering system. It is either designed as reciprocating or rotating.
It functions to ensure that the gas within the system is unable to escape. The reciprocating actuator reduces start-up friction as well as lifting the pressure bar smoothly.
